Not much to add to the blog today: with respect to the reset fix, there's a post on Fred's forums from a guy, going by the handle Big Joe, who says he has replicated the effect of the reset by removing all the batteries (including the back-up) from his 10D. This brings back the AF problems, which disappear again after the "Clear Settings" command is reapplied. So it looks like it might be a good plan to periodically do the reset, although this will mean reconfiguring any CF changes. Be nice if Canon came out with a statement about this, but I won't hold my breath.
In his usual selfless manner, Pekka has made available a 10D Workflow Action Set (gone). I've tried the sharpening action, but I think that the ACR Menus action works better. I've posted an update to this today that includes some amendments based on my 10D testing.
