Working with Capture One DSLR LE

Capture One Colour Management

To set up your CM preferences, open the window at Workflow>Color Management Settings:

Colour Management Settings

Camera Product: When you have an image selected, C1LE will show "Canon EOS-10D". You do not need to set this manually.

Camera Profile: The should be set to your preferred 10D profile. The supplied profile is called "Canon EOS-10D Generic", but there are alternatives. The ones from Etcetera costs USD 20. They are what I have started to use.

The "show only Capture One profiles" must be unchecked, if you want to select a non-C1 profile.

Output Destination (Working Space): This should be set to your working space in Photoshop. I use the ProPhoto RGB working space. The ICC profile is not provided as standard in Photoshop, but is available for free download from Kodak for both Mac and PC.

Web Destination: Usually this would be sRGB.

Proof Destination: Unless you convert directly to print files, this doesn't really matter. I've never converted to a print-ready file, but it could be quick way to get a proof.

Monitor Profile: If you have an Adobe Gamma profile, this should be auto-selected here, but you can set it manually, if necessary. The profile shown was created using WiziWYG from Praxisoft, which is free, if you just use it to create a monitor profile. Norman Koren seems to approve of WiziWYG, but suggests modified instructions for monitor calibration.
