Each component of The Variations Suite comprises:
A JavaScript called VS-<comp>.js, where <comp> identifies the V-Suite component, e.g., TV-Velvia.js, TV-BW.js. This is the main script for previewing and applying treatments.
And, if you give a donation, and get the Plus version:
A second JavaScript for batch use, labeled TVb-<comp>.js, for example, TVb-Velvia.js.
A Photoshop action (ATN) file with some custom actions to facilitate the use of the V-Suite script.
Once you have downloaded each of these files, they should be installed in the following locations. The two JavaScripts should be copied to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Scripts
The action file should be copied to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop Actions
The scripts require no further effort to be used, but the action file must be loaded into Photoshop CS before the actions can be played. The simplest way to do this, is drag the ATN file from Windows Explorer to the Photoshop desktop. Alternatively, open the Actions Palette menu, and choose "Load Actions..." and navigate to the folder where the action file is stored.
Note: the action is not required to use the Plus script, it is included as an additional feature for your use. We think the batch action will be especially helpful.
