The final panel is the Control Panel. The buttons here execute commands:

This builds the Previews using the selected preview size and also applies any options. ("Keep existing layers" is ignored for previews.) You will see the Previews document created one treatment at a time. The central preview is the original, untreated image.Hint: you can create multiple previews using different options to compare the effects: just click [Standard Previews] again once you have changed the options. Each set of previews will be saved as a separate layer in the Previews document. You will need to close the V-Suite scripts to review the different preview versions. Each time you create a set of previews, you can assign a name or description. This is used to identify the layers in the previews document. |
|
This builds previews using the current selection in the document. You must have specified the selection before running the V-Suite script. There is no way in Photoshop Scripting to detect the presence of an active selection. When you click this option, you will be asked to confirm that you have an active selection. If you do not have a selection, cancel the script and create one. If you continue to run the command without a selection, the script will hang with the message "Displaying previews, please wait...". If this happens, click the [Cancel] button. You must also make sure that you have not got a text layer selected. This cannot be use to create previews and a warning will be issued. You must ensure that the selection is, at the least, as large as the previews size you plan to use. If it is larger, then the preview is cropped from the top left corner or your selection. |
|
This applies the selected treatment and chosen options to the active document. A snapshot will be created for the original (starting) state of the image and a further snapshot for each selected treatment. This button is grayed out until a treatment is checked. Note that you do not have to create the Previews document to apply a treatment. If you know what you want to do, just check the boxes and hit [Apply]. |

Stores the current settings for use in batch operation. Only relevant for Plus versions. |

Closes the script with no further action except to tidy up the working files used. If you have checked "Scrap Previews", this will also be closed. After you have applied a treatment, this button changes to "Exit". |
