One of the problems with Signature Variations and Signature Variations Plus has been that the debug window opens, if a font is used that includes a space. I have discovered that this is because Photoshop requires that the Postscript name be used for fonts - data that is not readily available.
As a short term solution I have created the FontLister script. FontLister is a simple script that creates a text file containing the Postscript names for the fonts installed on your system. Signature Variations and Signature Variations Plus require that the Postscript name be specified.
Install the script in ..\Presets\Scripts, and run it using File>Scripts.
A file called "postscriptnames.txt" will be created in the root folder (PCs) or home folder (Macs) containing the fonts and their associated PostScript names.
Right click and Save As to download FontLister
The next version of Signature Variations Plus will incorporate changes to handle Postscript names more appropriately.
08 Mar '06: I have just checked this script for compatibility with Photoshop CS2. It runs fine as-is.
