Preferences Manager is a free utility script that can be used to back up and restore your Photoshop Preference settings. Click here to download a copy of the script. Settings are saved in a text file in the folder:
../Adobe/Photoshop CS/Presets/Scripts/VariationsSuite/PreferencesManager
The interface is very simple:
NOTE: The setting for Image Interpolation cannot be restored, and must be reset manually.
The script should work on both PCs and Macs, but it has only been tested on Windows. As far as I can tell this script cannot do any harm - after all, your preference settings are already screwed, but use this script at your risk - there are no guarantees and no liability accepted for any consequences.
This script may be freely copied in its entirety provided reference is made to this site and page.
