Now out: Tones Variations CS2 that works with Photoshop CS and Photoshop CS2. (The image processing hasn't changed, so if you're still using Photoshop CS, you don't need to upgrade; the only significant change is to file i/o that uses the ..\Presets\Scripts folder to store settings.)
Tones Variations, a component of The Variations Suite is an invaluable companion to the popular B+W Variations. It offers eight ways to tone your favourite B&W images for that touch of elegance and nod to the past.
Start Tones Variations using File>Scripts>VS-Tones or TonesVariationsCS2.jsx (depending on version).
Select the options you want to apply.
Click 
to create the Previews document.
Inspect Previews and check the treatment you prefer.
Click 
to process your picture with the selected treatment and options.
All the scripts in The Variations Suite work in a similar way, please refer to the instructions for installation, use and batch operation for a full explanation.
