In this box, enter any combination of free text and tokens (placeholders) to create the template for your signature. When the watermark is created, tokens will be substituted for the actual values from the document properties and EXIF data in the image file. Clicking the [Tokens] button will display a list of the tokens currently available. Tokens can be in a numeric format "%" followed by a number, e.g., "%15" or text format - "%caption". You can use "%n" to insert a new line. Numeric and text tokens can be used interchangeably, but you must take care to get the capitalisation accurate. Some examples of text patterns are:
As you can surmise, some of the tokens use EXIF data, which may or may not be present in an image. Not only does the [Tokens] button display the tokens, but the values for the active document will be listed. You can check that you have created the text pattern correctly by clicking the [Test Text] button. This will pop a message window showing the text string generated. Note: some document properties are only created when the file is saved. Working a document file that has never been saved may cause the script to crash. The might happen after File>New or Image>Duplicate.
In this box, enter the name of the file containing the watermark layer to be copied. This file must be open when the script is run. However, the active document should be the picture to which the watermark is to be applied. When you attempt to apply the watermark, the script will make this check. If the active file matches the name entered in this box, WV2+ will issue a warning and close. Just click the target image to make it active and restart the script. If you use a scanned image as a watermark, you must set the image mode to RGB, if your scanner has created an image with a different mode such as indexed.
You can store more than one image in the watermark document. Each image should be in a separate layer. Specify the required layer in the second box. WV2+ will check that the watermark document and layer exist when you press the <Tab> to move to the next field.
