Auto-opening Watermark Image
You can, if you wish, store the watermark image document in the default script folder. When WV2+ is started, it checks the open documents to see whether the watermark image document is already open, if not, the folder is searched and, if found, the watermark file is opened.
This applies when using WV2+ in interactive mode and in batch operation using the browser, which becomes more straightforward. In the present version of WV2+, this auto-open feature does not operate for normal batch operation. It is ineffective because the Automate option"Over-ride Action Open" must be checked - this apparently inteferes with the open statement in the script.
Font Details

Choose the font for your text watermark/signature by specifying:
- Font: enter the name of the font to use; this must be the Postscript name. Click the [Fonts] button to create a list of installed fonts from which you can select your choice. Postscript names are listed for your reference. See the Fonts entry in Controls for more information.
- Pts: point size. You will need to consider the document resolution: the smaller the DPI, the larger the point size you will need to use. For a 240 DPI document, a point size of 5 or 6 gives a fairly discreet size result. In this example, the points size is 8 and the DPI 96. You should ensure that all images in a batch use the same resolution/DPI to maintain a consistent text size. Set the desired value in Preferences. The point size can be anything from 4 to 96. Entering an illegal value generates a warning message. Tip: to avoid cropping the top when you use a large point size, insert a newline token (%n) at the start of the text pattern.
- Colour: enter RGB values for the text colour. If the signature will be across a light part of the subject, then use lower values for RGB. Higher values will give a light signature. RGB values range from 0 to 255. Entering an illegal value generates a warning message.
