You can save the watermark settings you create, so they can be reloaded and used on new images. Unless you do this WV2+, will always start with the defaults defined in the script. If you plan to use only one settings configuration, the simplest thing to do - having set all the fields - is click the [Save] button. This writes all the watermark parameters to a text file that is automatically reloaded next start you start WV2+. (Note: When you run WV2+ in batch mode, it is this file that will be read to process the images. )
You can, however, create as many different variations of watermark configuration as you like. Simply, click the [Save As] buttons and enter a name to remind you of the set-up. These files are plain ASCII text, but they must be saved with a "txt" extension as the save dialogue does not do this automatically. Use the [Open] button to reload a saved settings file.
There are also four buttons that can be configured to load a settings file and apply the watermark with a single click. You can configure these buttons in two ways: if the button does not have an active setting, then clicking the button will save and assign the current settings. By default, the buttons are labeled "Auto 1", "Auto 2", "Auto 3" and "Auto 4 ". If a button has been assigned the ® symbol is appended to the button label.
You may also configure a button by saving a settings file with the name "wmplus2-auto<i>.txt" where <i> should be replaced with one of the numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4, e.g., "wmplus2-auto3.txt". These files should be saved in the default script folder (see the next section). To remove an assignment, you must delete the appropriate settings file.
You can customise the labels for these auto-setting buttons under Preferences.
New in WV2+ is an improved organisation of script settings files. These are stored in a folder called /VariationsSuite/Watermark. This folder is created in the ../Adobe/Photoshop CS/Presets/Scripts folder, which is defined when Photoshop is installed. All files automatically created by WV2+ are stored in ../Watermark. As a security measure, no files are automatically deleted by WV2+. If you wish to remove saved settings files, you must do this manually.
