Batch Operation Using The Browser

  1. WV2+ includes an action for batch processing images files selected with the CS File. To use this action:

  2. Open the File Browser

  3. Navigate to the folder containing the source images to be watermarked

  4. Select the images.

  5. Choose Automate>Batch and set the options as shown here. You should specify the target folder where you wish the watermarked images to be saved. I recommend not over-writing the original, just in case... The "include sub-folders" option works, provided you have also selected the sub-folder. I have not tested with nested sub-folders.

Batch Operation

Use the main script to specify the settings you require. It's a good idea to test them with an open image. When you are satisfied, remember to click the [Save] button so the input file for the batch script is updated. Run the batch action from the Watermark Variations action set. Click here for more detail on using the batch automation command in Photoshop. The batch action in WV+ is slightly different from other scripts, and may need editing to suit your requirements. Please see the Help notes in the action set and review the steps in the batch action to ensure they do what you want.

Unfortunately, the watermark auto-open feature does not operate for batch operation. It is ineffective because the Automate option"Over-ride Action Open" must be checked - this apparently interferes with the open statement in the script.
